Hey there, I’m Monica, a retired Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor, the soul behind Aqua Nomad Network. It’s not just a brand, it’s a celebration of a scuba diver and snorkeler passionate about the underwater journey.
Since 1984, I’ve strapped on tanks, adjusted masks, and shared countless bubbles with the ocean’s majestic life.
Why am I here? I blend my reverence for the sea with a mission to educate those enchanted by adventure travel, especially for scuba divers and snorkelers. I review travel places, dive and snorkel gear, and liveaboards.
I took my very first breaths underwater in 1984. It was a world that beckoned with silent mysteries and vibrant sea creatures.
Fast forward through the years, you’ll see a portfolio rich with experiences from a solo scuba diver. Thankfully, my journey didn’t ease into retirement. I couldn’t end this passion so I transitioned into something even more profound, an online hub. I can go on and share the marvels of the ocean with people like you who are as zealous about it as I am.

Grand Turk Life of Blue Seas & Island Breezes
My love affair with the ocean didn’t just stop at diving! It extended to where I lived on Grand Turk Island, Turks and Caicos. The 4 1/2 years of unforgettable friendly people, the turquoise waters and the sandy shores were my home.
It was a sanctuary where I honed my diving skills and snorkelling hovering over the 7,000-foot wall.
I purchased a property, Sunnyside House, not just as an investment, but as a living tribute to my late husband. Over 30 years ago, I faced the devastating loss of my dive partner in a vehicle accident.

My Mission
My vision for Aqua Nomad Network grew out of these experiences, an important testament to what the ocean can teach us and how it can heal human lives. From lessons learned to dives guided, my greater purpose grew, so I invite you to come to the vast blue realm and experience the power of nature’s beauty, the ocean.
